If you’re looking for some fun this Labor Day weekend in Memphis, here are some great places to go and things to do.

  • Beale Street Labor Day Music Festival. Head down to the most iconic street in American nearly any time during the Labor Day weekend for some excellent live music. A wide range of musicians will be performing in restaurants and clubs through the district.
  • Memphis Music & Heritage Festival. Another festival this weekend celebrates Memphis’ musical and cultural legacy. It is hosted by the Center for Southern Folklore. It will be held on Main Street between Peabody Place and Union September 3rd and 4th from 11am through 11pm both days.
  • Memphis Zoo. Take your family out for one last outing before the school year goes into high gear. The Memphis Zoo offers a glimpse of more than 3,500 animals from all over the world. It even offers numerous interactive experiences.
