It’s no secret that Audi produces some of the world’s finest, classiest vehicles. These are cars designed for those in search of true automobile sophistication. Every Audi on the lot at Gossett Audi is crafted carefully to provide a smooth, elegant driving experience like no other.
With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Audi was the apparent brand of choice for Princess Diana. She made her way around town in a dark, forest green Audi convertible—with the steering wheel on the right, of course. The attractive Audi was photographed many times as Princess Di entered, exited, and drove around William and Harry.
With the 20th anniversary of the Princess of Wales’ unexpected death coming up, several significant pieces of Diana memorabilia were recently auctioned off at Cheffins, including Princess Di’s Audi. The convertible was purchased by a private buyer and had just 21,856 miles on it.
Several events are being held to commemorate Princess Di’s passing 20 years ago, including a statue of Diana being debuted by William and Harry at the public gardens in London’s Kensington Palace. A memorial garden was also opened at Kensington Palace earlier this year, as was an exhibition titled “Diana: Her Fashion Story,” which explores Diana’s ever-changing fashion sense.
