Five Audi Models Given IIHS Top Safety Pick Titles

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is known for awarding safety ratings to vehicles after putting them through a variety of crash tests to evaluate their mettle (and their metal). For 2017, Audi is proud to reveal that three models in the Audi lineup have achieved the Top Safety Pick title, while two other models have received the prestigious honor of Top Safety Pick+. These accolades represent Audi’s continual commitment to both safety and innovation in a world where safety features and technology are more and more intertwined.

Audi A4 Top Safety Pick

The Top Safety Pick+ models are the Audi A4 and Q5, but that’s when they’re equipped with optional headlights and a front crash prevention system, the latter of which comes standard on the A4. The models that achieved the Top Safety Pick score are the A3 and Q7, along with the A6 when equipped with the available driver assistance package. As a result, everything from Audi’s smaller cars to its larger SUVs are represented with these recent IIHS awards.

Audi A4 Top Safety Pick

The title of Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ are not given lightly. The Audi A3, A4, and Q7 all achieved their respective titles by scoring a “superior” rating in the front crash prevention test. It’s also the A4’s second year in a row earning the Top Safety Pick+ title.
